WELCOME

The 13th edition of the Messiaen Festival “Boulez/Messiaen, an Eventful Filiation” will take place from July 31st to August 8th, 2010. It will be the opportunity to pay tribute to Pierre Boulez, a conductor and composer, offering him an important retrospective of his work.
Indeed, it is obvious to welcome the one who had for about 50 years with Olivier Messiaen an exceptional relationship, from being his student, to prodigy son, then a faithful friend. 
This is an important page of music, written by both men, that we will tell and illustrate with 13 concerts in which we will meet compositions from contemporary writers, and classical pieces which were significant to them: Berio, Debussy, Wagner, Beethoven, Schoenberg, Webern…and worldwide creations by Frédéric Durieux and Dai Fujikura.
